Vic Viper Bomberman and others in Super Bomberman R

...Sadly, I remembered to finally post about this while waiting for a match in Super Bomberman R. Vic Viper and other Konami characters make cameos as playable characters in the Nintendo Switch game Super Bomberman R. The game received a huge update about a day or two ago, which included a lot more content to the game...though not many people play online, sadly.

You can also browse the Character section to see all of the playable Bombermen, which for the Gradius series includes Vic Viper itself and just recently added an "Option" Bomber.

In addition, characters can wear hats, and part of the new content is Gradius-themed hats they can wear, though they need ingame currency to buy it. Finally, when you fight Plasma Bomber in Story Mode, the giant mecha he uses is named "Judge Gwinbee", and looks much like a large version of Twinbee.

Ah, the throwbacks. Say, didja catch the Big Core cameo in the first boss section's cutscenes? (The one I pointed out months ago :/)

Strange! As I said before, I thought Bomberman was from Hudsonsoft, which Konami took over, then liquidated. Star Soldier's Neo Caesar, Final Caesar, from Final Soldier, and Caesar, from Star Soldier R, will be more appropriate, since they are Hudsonsoft games.
